Web Server Engineer

A fantastic role for someone interested in LVS (Linux Virtual Server) and Server Farms (Fedora and MySQL) a professional and interesting role for a candidate who would like to be in at the next stage of a role out of a major force in web based entertainment.

This role will suit someone who loves working in opensource environments understands load balancing and enjoys getting there hands dirty. The scope for progression in this role are only limited by you passion.

The main function will be managing the internal web servers and the external server farm. But being a small company you will end up doing loads of other things

The Skills you need:

Strong command of php, Multi-server MySQL environments and Load balanced Apache Servers.
php 5.0 + MySQL + RSS
Knowledge of Database and Server performance issues
This also requires an understanding of video on demand
