The Database Specialists main responsibilities will be:

• Lead improvement tasks & initiatives (plan and deploy) for databases
• Database engine installation, configuration and maintenance
• Work in cross-functional projects, e.g. inter-department with mixed teams
• Automation and orchestration (ansible, docker, kubernetes)

Required experiences

• Professional education in computer science (or similar)
• + 5 years of relevant experience
• Experienced in database administration (MySQL, MariaDB or Cassandra)
• Experienced in application servers (Wildfly/Jboss, Tomcat, Jetty)
• In depth knowledge of managing an enterprise database infrastructure
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis in large scale environments
• Proficient in Open Source and Linux
• Fluent in English

Valuable experience

• Experience in several scripting languages
• Knowledge of cloud computing
