About the Job

PHP Developer - ( PHP / OO / JavaScript / jQuery ) is needed for a market leading and award winning ecommerce organization. This is a fast growing organization at the forefront of technology.
As a PHP Developer - ( PHP / OO / JavaScript / jQuery ) you will have experience in working on customer facing, transactional websites and have an interest in Mobile UI development . This is a hands on development role where there needs to be an appreciation of design, however, it is the coding skills that are important.

The PHP Developer - ( PHP/ OO / JavaScript / jQuery ) will be a technical expert who can act as a guru to lead the front end development team, coding refined user-interaction solutions with JavaScript, AJAX and jQuery, HTML 5 etc. The PHP Developer - ( PHP / OO / JavaScript / jQuery ) must be a team-player who understands the requirements of the larger business, you will create best practice, dynamic coded pages and improve and enhance coding standards overall.
This is a very hands on role. Day to day tasks range from architecting new projects, to designing and building bomb-proof coded pages, creating functional user interfaces, as well as, performing site and product updates.

The PHP Developer - ( PHP / OO / JavaScript / jQuery ) is likely to have some or all of the following skills:
 PHP
 Excellent PHP5
 JavaScript / jQuery
 OO skills
 Open Source Evangelist
 Zend Framework
 CSS 2/3, HTML 5
 Clear Communication skills in English

Bright and motivated, you will provide technical guidance and mentoring to other members of the small, but very strong and passionate client side development team in Germany - maintaining a high-level of standards based code.
You should understand the creative and technical requirements from clients and deliver them by yourself or through working with the team, overseeing the quality all of the team's output.
You will own and direct future strategies for PHP Development and be able to influence strategy and approaches within the wider organisation, advocating best standards solutions.
