[Access][Mod_Rewrite] Htaccess współczynnikiem nie działania plików Opcje

Witam, otóż gdy mam plik na serwerze .htaccess i mam w nim:

RewriteRule ^([a-z]+)/([a-z\-]+)$ /$1/$2.py [L]

Czyli zamiana index.php na index.py.

Mój problem polega na tym że pliki nie chcą się włączyć. O to co mam:

Twoje wyrażenie nie pozwala na "." w nazwie pliku, więc jakim cudem ma Ci zamienić index.php?
