We are seeking a person who can turn detailed (and sometimes not-so-detailed) requirements, wireframes and/or notes received from clients into a step-by-step specification that our developers will follow to implement the client's project.

This person must be detail oriented and have strong English skills, and should be comfortable starting with less-than-perfectly defined requirements; it will be your job to work with us as well as directly with our clients to clarify any details needed to specify the entire project. You'll also help look for missing graphics and other assets that might be needed to complete the project, and proactively work to secure that information from the client.

We work in PHP - while it's not absolutely necessary that you have PHP skills, preference will be given to candidates that have worked with PHP or written specifications for PHP projects in the past.

We use a modified Agile/Scrum project management methodology, so familiarity with Agile or Scrum is a plus, but if you're not familiar with these things, we don't mind helping you learn.

Specifically, your job will be to:

1) Gather any and all requirements that the client has shared with us, plus any notes we've made about the project
2) Convert these items into a specification document that will include:
a) general project description to summarize the project, in your own words
user stories (ref. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_story)
c) specific tasks required to implement each user story
d) an outline to all of the data models needed to complete the project
e) an estimate (you'll work with one or more of our developers to arrive at this number) of the time it will take to complete each task
f) recommended sprints or milestones with the tasks grouped into these sprints based on the estimated amount of time it will take to complete each task versus our available man-hours
3) Contact the client or one of us, as appropriate, to gain any additional knowledge, files or documentation needed to complete these tasks
4) Clarify any questions our developers about these specifications while they work on the project, including contacting the client for further details as needed

Required Qualifications:
1) Strong written English skills
2) Great customer-service or 'people' skills
3) Strong attention to detail
4) Available to turn specifications and questions around very quickly

Preferred (But Not Required) Qualifications:
1) PHP development experience
2) Agile/Scrum experience
3) Past specification writing experience
