[mod_rewrite] Dwa htaccess na serwerze, ...w roznych katalogach Opcje

Witam, otóż mam problem. Na serwerze, w katalogu głównym mam plik .htaccess, natomiast w folderze gtn mam tak jakby inny serwis i tam również jest htaccess z modrewrite. Ale jak to w naturze, nie dziala. Co i gdzie mam wpisać, żeby to ruszyło? Proszę o pomoc.

moje ftp wyglada tak: (w skrocie)
-gtn
--- index.php
--- .htaccess
-index.php
-.htaccess

Nie działa mi .htaccess w folderze "gtn".
