Session is looking for Front End Developers

Session Digital is a vibrant, busy, growing Agency, situated in Central London. We are looking for several rare individuals who are capable of taking design concepts and translating them into standards-friendly code for Magento employing current web technologies (including HTML5, CSS3 and jQuery). Session specialises in delivering tailored Magento eCommerce solutions to blue chip organisations. We pride ourselves on delivering products which look great and work brilliantly.

Job Description

Working in conjunction with the creative and back-end teams, the selected candidates will be responsible for creating cross-browser solutions that separate structure, presentation and behaviour using semantic mark-up, CSS and unobtrusive JavaScript. Additionally, they will be well versed in techniques for building to accessibility standards and totally dedicated to producing top-end solutions that meet or exceed our clients’ high expectations.

Main Requirements:

•  XHTML/CSS (like a mother tongue!)
•  Javascript, jQuery, AJAX and XML

About you:



• You will have solid agency experience in web development
•  Produce clean, error-free, well-documented, and standards-compliant front-end solutions
•  You love CSS, in fact you’re so in love with slicing and dicing we ought to alert the police
•  You understand the importance of – and can display – very sharp design skills
•  You possess un-erring determination, a superb team-ethic
•  You have an eye for detail and alignment as well as a solid understanding of usability standards

You have a serious knowledge of:



• Photoshop for web production (inc. image optimization strategies)
•  Skills in PHP/MySQL
•  Exposure to source/version control (SVN)
•  Web server management and working with Linux
•  Multi-language Magento integrations
•  Social Media campaign experience (inc Tumblr, Wordpress, Twitter, Facebook)
•  Drupal, Joomla and/or Silverstripe experience
•  Omniture tracking technologies
•  Developing for mobile devices (iPhone4, Android, Magento Mobile)

Bonus points:

•  You have a fair understanding of Magento eCommerce templates and layouts (up to v1.9)
•  You know what makes great design. Blog, post, photograph and be a bit arty!
•  Get involved, Tweet and generally love everything digital
•  You know some good gags, have done some cool things - and always see the glass half full!

You will receive:



• 21 days holiday per year, excluding bank holidays, rising 1 day for each completed year to a maximum of 25 days
•  Private health insurance (after 1 year’s service)
•  A discretionary annual bonus
