Lead Front-end Developer
We are immediately looking for a (lead) front-end developer in Utrecht for a fast-growing, international organization with a large number of labels. A new e-commerce platform has recently been built for one of these labels, and this must now be integrated with the website (s). You will then also work on integration with the other labels. You will work in a small team in Utrecht.

Job description
The Lead Front-end developer is part of a broad digital team and works from Utrecht. You work closely with your team of colleagues, consisting of design, UX and external partners, on a recently developed new e-commerce platform (Magento Enterprise). In this role you are responsible for all activities in the field of front-end development. You are working on, among other things, renewing the existing websites (multiple brands) and rebuilding the dealer portals, but also launching microsites and online marketing campaign sites. You work from Utrecht, but you occasionally travel to external partners during the sprints.
Main responsibilities:
? Developing new user-oriented features and screens;
? Developed reusable code and libraries for future use;
? Ensuring an optimal technical UI / UX design;
? Optimize the application (s) for optimum speed and scalability;
? Validate user input before going to back-end.

Skills and qualifications front-end developer Utrecht
? Good knowledge and experience with web layout, such as HTML5, CSS3;
? Basic knowledge of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS;
? Thorough knowledge of Client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery;
? Good knowledge of JavaScript libraries and frameworks (ReactJS, angularjs, etc.);
? Good knowledge of asynchronous handling requests, partial page updates, and AJAX;
? Basic knowledge of photo editing tools, to be able to crop, enlarge or reduce images, or to make small adjustments. Familiar with tools such as Gimp or Photoshop is a plus;
? Thorough knowledge of cross-browser compatibility problems and solutions;
? Thorough knowledge of GIT versioning tools;
? Good knowledge of SEO principles and able to apply these to the application (s);
? Good knowledge of the SCRUM methodology;
? Basic knowledge of the Magento 2 framework;
? Basic knowledge of PHP.
